How do I join?
Simply fill out the online application. We will review and possibly ask additional questions prior to approving your application, taking your deposit, and welcoming you to Equity Exotics. Each owner must have a clean driving record and have verifiable indoor storage for where the vehicle will be secured when they are not driving it.
How many days per year do I get to drive the vehicle?
21 days may be booked in advance but with your extra days you can easily end up with over 30 days of driving per year. Unused days or weeks do not carry over into the following year.
Are there mileage restrictions?
You are allocated 2,100 miles per year per share purchased. However, this mileage allocation may be used over the total days you drive the vehicle per year. Therefore, over your 3 weeks of pre-booked time, if you only used 1,500 miles you would have an additional 600 mile to use during your extra days. Unused miles do not carry over into the following year.
What if I go over my mileage allotment?
Once you go over your allotted 2,100 miles per year you will be charged a price per mile driven.
What if my plans change after booking my week and I can no longer use the vehicle that week?
You can swap your week for any other week based on availability. We only allow pre-booking for 210 total days a year, leaving 155 open days for schedule changes and last-minute bookings.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes, due to insurance requirements, our owners and drivers must be a minimum of 25 years old.
Can anyone besides me drive the vehicle?
Yes, your spouse or significant other may drive, if they meet age and driving record requirements and have been added to the insurance for the specific vehicle at your expense.
How do I go about booking my weeks?
You will be allocated three weeks per share purchased during the months allocated to the driving season in your area. Simply call in and we'll book the available weeks to suit your needs.
Can I take vehicle to the track?
Vehicles are intended for street use and are not insured for track use. Approved drivers that have gone through a ceriftication program, provide us with proof of track day insurance and pay for additional wear and tear may be allowed to track the vehicle.
Are additional days available to drive my vehicle beyond the 3 weeks?
Absolutely and that is why we only allow each vehicle to be prebooked a maximum of 210 of the 365 days in a calendar year. We realize plans change and often at the last minute, so we preserve 155 days per vehicle for last minute and extra days behind the wheel.
What happens if vehicle is damaged while in my possession?
These vehicles are designed to be driven and that’s exactly what we hope you do. We do understand that normal wear and tear will occur and that is covered in our agreement. Each car even has Paint Protection Film on the front end. However, if damage is done outside of normal wear and tear such as dents & dings, scratches, curbed wheels, excessive wear on tires, etc., that will be an additional out of pocket expense charged to you.
What happens if another owner totals the vehicle?
The insurance claim would affect the owner driving the vehicle versus all the owners. We would either replace the vehicle with a similar one or buy out each owner based on the ownership agreement.
Can I drive the vehicle out of my state or the country?
Out of state, yes. In fact, we encourage you to enjoy nice long road trips in your vehicle. Vehicles are not allowed or insured to leave the country.
How is this different from exotic rental car companies?
Unlike a rental car, you can take pride in ownership of your exotic car because you will legitimately own a piece of it. Ownership also carries some perks like driving nicer, cleaner, less abused cars for less than half the price of renting.
What is the process for picking up and dropping off my vehicle?
​As your scheduled time approaches, we will be communicating with you to determine your anticipated pick-up time as well as drop off time at the end of your use. Vehicle will be all ready for you, freshly hand washed with a full tank of fuel. Vehicle is required to be returned with a full tank of fuel and relatively clean.
Am I expected to wash the vehicle while in my possession?
No, however if you choose to, hand wash or professional detail are the only acceptable ways to wash the cars. All mechanical car washes are strictly forbidden due to the damage they cause to paint, wheels and glass.
Am I allowed to smoke or have pets in the vehicle?
To maintain the level of cleanliness your fellow owners will expect form their exotic vehicle, smoking and pets are strictly forbidden in all the vehicles. Inspecting for both are part of our check-in process and additional cleaning fees and/or early buyout of your ownership may result.
What if I refer a friend?
We believe our fellow owners are our best ambassadors and will award you for spreading the good word. For each referral you send us who becomes an owner, we will give you AND your referred owner $1,000 off your next annual maintenance. It's good to own with friends.
